Getting Started with ZVee
Welcome to ZVee
ZVee helps you build a strong CV quickly and, if you want, turn that CV into real job applications with a dedicated workspace (Job Details, CV, Job Match, Letter, Notes).
The mental model: Master CV → Applications
Start with your Master CV. It's your complete career history. Then, create an application to tailor a specific version for each job.
Quick Start
- Import your existing CV: Start from the dashboard and import a PDF (e.g., LinkedIn export). Review the extracted sections and apply them to create your Master CV.
- Starting fresh? If you don't have an existing CV, pick a template (start with Professional) and fill in your details. On mobile, the wizard guides you step-by-step.
- Enhance with AI: Use the AI features to generate a profile summary and achievements, and get skill suggestions based on your background.
- Create an application: For a specific role, create an application, add the job details, then tailor your CV and generate a cover letter in the workspace.
- Download, apply & track: Export as PDF, submit your application, and track your progress from the dashboard.
Key Features
- CV parsing: Import an existing CV (e.g., LinkedIn export) to quickly populate your Master CV instead of starting from scratch.
- AI writing assistance: Generate profile summaries, achievements, skill suggestions, and cover letters from your background and the job description.
- Application Workspace: For each job, get a dedicated workspace to tailor your CV, run Job Match, draft a cover letter, and keep notes.
- Job Match analysis: See your match result with strengths, gaps, next steps, and quick wins before you apply.
- Application tracking: Track status, next steps, and deadlines across all your applications from the dashboard.
- Multi-language support: Write your CV in one language while applying to jobs in another (e.g., English CV for a German job posting).
Tips for Success
- Keep it concise and skimmable: Make it easy to scan in seconds: 1-2 pages, clear headings, short bullets, and the most relevant information first in every section.
- Write impact-driven bullets: Start bullets with strong action verbs and finish with impact: what you did, how you did it, and why it mattered (scope, metric, outcome).
- Tailor to each role: Maintain a broad master CV, then create a tailored version per job by adjusting headline, summary, skills, and top bullets to mirror the role's key requirements.
- Polish the details: Proofread slowly (ideally out loud), then do a separate pass just for formatting: alignment, spacing, dates, job titles, and working links.
